You’ve received your Instant Pot, opened it up, maybe have even cooked a little, and now you’re overwhelmed at the recipe possibilities and accessories you may or may not need. While we recommend cooking with it a little to see what extras you may need, I personally use 3 consistently every week – my extra silicone ring, spring form pan, and yogurt strainer 🙂 These are our must have beginning Instant Pot accessories!

Our Favorite Instant Pot Accessories

Instant Pot Sealing Ring*Extra silicone sealing ring – why? Because the ring is made of silicone, and may retain some of the scent of previous food. With the way the pressure cooker operates with steam, your beautiful cheesecake may end up with a faint scent or taste of the pulled pork you last made. We don’t want that (or maybe some people do?)! We both have extra rings, and use one for savory dishes, and one for sweet dishes 🙂

Springform Pan*7″ Springform pan – Do you like cheesecake? Banana bread? Lasagna? I have made all of these in my lovely spring form pan! This one is a bit shallow, which I LOVE for cheesecake. It allows just the perfect balance of sweet goodness to graham cracker crust, and is just enough that I don’t feel guilty if I have a bigger piece 🙂 This was also the perfect lasagna size for 2 or 3 people 🙂

Yogurt Strainer*Yogurt strainer – If you’re a fan of greek yogurt, this is a super easy way to strain yogurt (and it’s on sale – yahoodle!!!). I used cheesecloth, I tried a nut bag, and both methods were messy and not for me (others have definitely had success, but I did not!). Melissa loves her yogurt strainer! I picked one up and it arrives today!

Additional pan option:

Cheesecake Pan*6″ Fat Daddio Aluminum Round Cheesecake pan – MANY Instant Pot-ters have this pan and absolutely LOVE it!! It’s a little taller than the one I listed above.

There are a ton of different accessories that you could get – and once you start looking, it’s like going down a rabbit hole (a delicious one though!).  We have more suggested accessories over on our accessories page 🙂 These are our top 3, and we hope this helps narrow things down for you. Let us know what your must have Instant Pot accessories are!

    • Hi Sue! I use 6″ and 7″ pans no problem in my 6 quart pot. The 6 quart has the same diameter as the 5 quart – yay!! 🙂 The heights are different. Our accessories page has a few ones that would work well for you 🙂
