It’s here it’s here! Grab those keyboards, start up those cell phones, and let’s get shopping because Black Friday 2017 is here!! 🙂 Hopefully you’re on the NICE list this year, and find everything you’re looking for.
Let’s talk all things Instant Pot! The following links are Sisters Under Pressure Amazon Affiliate links – yahoodle! 🙂 The mini and 8 quart pots are on sale on Amazon (if you just want prices, scroll to the end)! 🙂
DUO, LUX, 3, 6, 8 quart – there are so many options! Which one should I get?
If you don’t want to read my cool shpeil, you can see a fancy comparison chart here. I don’t have the 3 quart on it, but it is pretty much the same as the other DUO models, but in an adorable mini package 🙂
*The DUO and LUX models are VERY similar, but for the small difference we recommend the DUO models over the LUX. The biggest difference are the functions. The DUO models have a yogurt function, while the LUX models do not. I LOVE making yogurt. The DUO models also have cool handles to put the lid in, which doesn’t seem like a big deal, but if you have limited counter space it’s a GREAT space saver!
See? Look how convenient that is! 🙂
*The DUO models also have a high AND a low pressure cooking setting. I’m going to be real – I haven’t used the low pressure option, but I feel fancy knowing it’s there should I need it 🙂
Does size really matter?
*It does! Your options are 3, 6, or 8 quart. I have the 3 quart DUO mini, and the 6 quart DUO. I LOVE my 3 quart mini!! It’s also on sale (as of 7am, 11/23) for $49!! I use it to make quick side dishes like mashed potatoes, and to reheat leftovers since we don’t use a microwave (yup, we’re crazy people living on the edge! 🙂 ).
*The 8 quart model is HUGE! If you have a bigger family, or a family with many littles who will eventually put more food in their bellies, this may be a great option for you. Many of my friends also cook bigger cuts of meat and BIGGER cheesecakes (this makes me jelly belly) in theirs. This is also on special for the FIRST TIME EVER!! This is a great deal at $81.99!!
Do I need anything else?
*My answer to this would be this depends on what you decide to cook. We have a bunch of accessories listed on the accessories page . I think it’s a great idea to cook a bit and see what you need before going nuts. Well…… I can’t say that was my chosen method – I started with extra sealing rings, the silicone mits, pans, the sous vide, and the yogurt strainer. I never do anything small 🙂
